At LUT, the intake for exchange students is about 220 students a year. Our exchange students come from approximately 200 partner universities of LUT through programmes such as Erasmus and Nordplus. Some of them come back to Wrocław to continue their education at Master or PhD level as regular full-time students.

Exchange studies normally entails studying a selection of courses, not leading to a KTH degree. Students from double degree partner universities however, do have the possibility to complete a double degree exchange in which they follow a KTH degree programme and receive one degree from each university. Exchange students are students who come from one of SLU's partner universities around the world to study one or two semesters at SLU. Before applying, you must be nominated by your home university. You can be an exchange student within the Erasmus programme, within the NOVA/BOVA network or by coming from a university that has a bilateral agreement with SLU. If you want to broaden your horizon, come into contact with different cultures and, basically, have a great time: go on an exchange abroad!

Faculty and staff exchange is also an important part of the equation. A Formal Exchange Student is a student who is here via one of the University’s formal exchange agreements (for example Erasmus, Nordplus or Linneaus-Palme). A formal agreement may be either a “bilateral” agreement between two departments or a “general” agreement between two entire universities.
